Clearly, I love my children, but it is so refreshing to hear someone else say they do too.
Last night, one of my favorite people in the world called my 1 1/2 year old son a ‘little bundle of goodness’. It made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside….not only because I, personally, can’t get enough of him, but because the phrase fits him so well.
From the moment he was born, he has been sweet-natured and happy. He is a hugger and a cuddler and a lover. He will interupt me while I am talking to someone just to say ‘Hi’. It will go something like this….”Mommy…Mommy…Mommy….”, “Yes, Cooper…”, “Hi”.
My daughter stopped the snuggling at about 15 months. She had too many things to do, too much to see. She wasn’t interested in being held back by hugs.
But, my little buddy can’t get enough of the love I give. I’m smiling even as I type.
And just to prove his ‘goodness’ today, he stopped what he was doing to get a stuffed giraffe for his sister when she cried out for it. She was in a bit of trouble for having some attitude problems. On her way up the stairs to her room, she stopped to cry for her stuffed animal. Coop looked at her, cocked his head, hurried his little body to the couch, climbed up, retrieved the giraffe and took it to her on the stairs.
It was so sweet to witness the love he has for his big sister.
I hope he nevers grows out of that ‘bundle of goodness’.
I have so much to be grateful for.
