I am grateful for Fridays. I am grateful for my family – my husband’s humor and loyalty, my son’s bear hugs and giggles and my daughter’s sweet voice and ready-anytime kisses. I love getting some exercise, hearing Coop say, “I had fun, Mommy.”, dropping Delaney off at school without tears, asking for something and getting it, sweetened iced tea, buying gifts for new babies, and witnessing the new-parent glow.
I am ESPECIALLY grateful that I am not flying American Airlines right now. I am thrilled I am home instead of entertaining two small children at an airport for hours or days on end.
I am delighted to see the tulips and daffodils popping up (despite the dropping temperatures). I love photographs, reliable people, loyal friends, Care Bears, the song “Unwritten” by Natasha Bedingfield, a slight breeze, kid’s birthday parties, true joy, people who hold doors open for you, smiling at strangers, Delaney sharing with her little brother and friends who give you an honest opinion.
I am grateful I am learning to SAVE MONEY, happy to have things to look forward to this weekend, love that my husband calls Delaney ‘half-pint’.
